But there's one thing you often truly understand only afterward: the photographs will be what allows you to relive it all. Not just to see, but to feel again.

One of the first things people tell me is:
"I'm not photogenic"

And that's precisely why my approach to photography is different.

I won't ask you to be perfect.
We won't create artificial moments.

My name is Marika Mancusi and I work as a wedding photographer across Elba Island and Tuscany.

During an event, I don't like to be intrusive.
I don't interrupt, I don't force.

I observe.

I look for the details that often go unnoticed: a hand held tight, a tear held back, a sudden laugh.
They're small moments, but they're the ones that last.

There's no right way to experience an event.
And there's no single way to tell it.
